ABOUT

In 1990, Jim Beriault joined O’Neil Public Relations after graduating from Portland State University. In 1992 the firm changed its name to O’Neil/Beriault Public Relations, Inc. (OBPR) where Beriault became a partner/owner.   Together O’Neil and Beriault expanded the agency’s client base to include O’Loughlin Trade Shows, Olive Farm LLC, Gentle Dental Service Corporation, Oregon Nurses Association, St. Paul Rodeo and Multnomah Greyhound Park.

Beriault’s early experiences with the company gave him the background and credibility to develop the company’s skills and specializations in entertainment publicity.  Beriault helped to expand the corporate and medical arm of OBPR, which serviced some of the most prominent companies in the Northwest.   Beriault specialized in building corporate identities, awareness and credibility with an emphasis in entertainment marketing.

That emphasis has led him to work with global television news crews from Germany, Australia and Japan.  Nationally, he has had the privilege to work with such shows as “Dateline” (4 times), “Good Morning America” (5 times), “A Current Affair”, “Late Night with David Letterman” and CNN.  In 1999, Beriault took over the day-to-day operations of OBPR.

In October of 2002, O’Neil / Beriault merged with Gard & Gerber.  Having shared many of the same accounts over the past decade, the synergy and combined resources made perfect sense for the increasingly competitive world of advertising, publicity and public relations.  Beriault was named Director of Publicity & Promotions allowing him to refine his specific philosophy of publicity and media relations for shows and events.

In April 2005, Beriault returned to private practice launching Beriault Entertainment Marketing.  The company specializes entertainment based TV and Radio advertising production, media buying, publicity, design and promotion services. Many of the accounts he has serviced over the past 18 years have remained with him.

Continuing the specialization of event and entertainment marketing, Beriault has grown the new company to include many new events in the Northwest.

Beriault Entertainment Marketing's primary differentiation is in understanding the science of shows and events, how they work, why people buy tickets, and what incentives need to be in place.
